Important Note

Hugh Waters of One Plus Mail, Inc. is taking a well-deserved retirement after 43 years in the business. Hugh has mailed most of the Vine Ministry, Inc. newsletters. Evelyn estimates close to about 30 years worth. We congratulate Hugh on his retirement.

Since we will now need to find a new mailer (and with that possibly a new printer), I want you to just be aware that there could be a disruption in the newsletter. It may take some time to make new arrangements. If you don’t receive a September newsletter (in the mail) please know that we are still at work on behalf of the Kingdom to support the mission and ministry of Vine Church in Haiti and all the work being done there. The worst case scenario is that you will receive a Sept-Oct newsletter in October. We will still be able to send out an email newsletter.

For anyone who would like to switch to the email version, it is very easy to do. Go to the website, click on “How to Help,” then click on “Get Connected.” All you have to enter is your email and first and last name. Each email newsletter saves the ministry about $12 per year.

Thanks, Hugh for your good work!!

School Stats for 2024-2025

Below are the stats for this coming year of Student Support. I thought you might be interested to see where the sponsors (you) are that support our students. This year we sent $70,000 to Haiti for school support. Pastor Daniel will give an update this fall on how many students the funds assisted. It is our hope as well to have new photos for you. (All of this depends upon security on the ground for both dispensing funds and capturing photos of the kids.) Please be in prayer for Pastor and those who help him as well as the students, families, and schools.

Creole Words:     Peace = lape              Faith = lafwa             Hope = epwa            Love = renmen

These are spiritual things Haiti needs in abundance in the midst of their current situation. At the beginning of July, Vine Church was able to hold its 32nd Annual Bible Conference. Pastor Daniel said, “Praise God: no disturbances. People are able to come every day without fear. On Saturday we will baptize up to 18 new believers and on Sunday morning (July 7th) we will receive 11 new members joining from other churches” Pastor will share pictures as soon as he can and we will share them with you.

Pastor Daniel also let me know that they had to cancel the 1st Leader’s Conference with the satellite churches in Hinche. Approximately 70 persons were to attend this 5-day event. It could not take place due to rising insecurity. He writes, “We did feel that things were turning better for the country during the last week of June and first week of July. Unfortunately, the new interim government, the few policeman arrived from Kenya have not been acting quick enough in carrying out a plan against the gangs. They began to tremble, but seeing the laziness and maybe lack of plans from the authorities, they have resumed their criminal activities. So we thought it would not have been wise to put at risk our people to get to Hinche. We will plan for another date when we think it is suitable for such an important program.” (Vine Ministry donors made possible a $5,000 grant for the 1st Leaders Conference!)
