JANUARY 2018

Thank you for spreading the Gospel in Haiti and helping to create better lives. This last year has been a busy one for Vine Ministry. The Church in Port-au-Prince continues to be a vibrant and growing church. The foundation was laid 25 years ago through the labor of LeRoy and Evelyn Dick and Pastor Joel St Amour. Remembering back to when they met in a small store front building, where the quarters were cramped and over crowded, to now where there is plenty of space for this growing congregation of 650 members. During our visit in August, we were blessed by this congregation. Listening to several choirs and the 5 person worship team, worshiping with them was a wonderful experience, feeling the presence of God among us.

The church continues with less direct help from the United States but still needs your help to support Associate Pastor Daniel Telfort (photo above) and his family. Pastor Daniel has his hands full with this large congregation and teaching at STEP, the seminary in Port-au-Prince. He is still involved in translating the Old Testament into Creole, a slow, careful and critical project. Please consider giving for General Fund as this supports Pastor Daniel, travel to Haiti and repair of our car in Haiti, maintaining our home office and many needs as they arise.

We are so looking forward to seeing many of you this spring. From May 6 through May 20, we will be visiting churches. Please fill out this request form and return to us as soon as possible so we can put together our itinerary. All we ask is lodging (either motel or home), a room for Jim and Jo and a room for Evelyn. (Due to allergies, please no pets in the house). An offering for the ministry would be wonderful and helpful. Please return by March 15, 2018.

Thank you for your prayers and gifts throughout 2017.

Blessings of health and prosperity in this new year of 2018.
