Temporary Food Support Program
Thank you for your support of the Temporary Food Support Program. November and December have been fully funded. You have supported 32 families so far. Vine Church is also providing small meals (sandwich and juice or tea) for the musicians, Sunday School teachers, ushers and others at Church on Sunday morning. Vine Church has done this for several years but now needs our assistance to continue the feeding. As we give, they will be able to continue this ministry to their people.
Testimony
Luciane is a widow of the Vine Church. Her son Carl, was baptized this year among the new believers and became a member of the Church. When Luciane received the money, here is what she said: "This money is really a gift from heaven. Thank you so much for having thought of me and my family. I praise God for the donors who sent it. For this is an answer to prayer. Pastor Daniel, you don't know what this means to me, my children. Only the Lord knows the importance of this gift. You say it is not much. But to me, it is a lot. Please, thank the friends who sent it on my behalf. May God bless them."
Our goal is to continue to fund the Food Support Program at $2,000 per month in 2024. Thank you for blessing the Haitian people.
Report from Pastor Daniel (more to come in April)
Greetings from Haiti in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am glad to share this year-end report with you to let you know what God has been doing on the field where he has placed us for his glory. We praise God for his mercy and protection. As you may have heard in the previous report, our beloved country Haiti has not changed a bit due to the terrible choices the government has made: no adequate leadership, no sensitivity to the outcry of this poor nation. Many people say that they have never seen such a heartless, uncompassionate government throughout the history of Haiti. But beyond any political and sociological considerations we know from the Bible that man is desperately wicked without God’s grace. We pray that God’s mercy would reach them, as to transform them into compassionate and loving persons.
We are praying sincerely that the Lord would help us purchase the land on the left side of the Vine Church. The watchman told us the owners want to sell. It is only a matter of the insecurity in Haiti that prevents them coming to Haiti and processing the sale. We know that the Catholic Priest is interested, for they have already properties on the right side of us.
Thank you!
We praise the Lord for the faithfulness of the Vine Ministry board in supporting God’s cause in Haiti. Your prayers are very important in our ministry. For, as you know, it is tough to face and encounter the devil’s scheme trying to keep many people away from the truth and the light of Christ. However, we know the kingdom of darkness will NOT prevail (Isaiah 9: 1-2). So, please, continue to join us in our effort to keep preaching the Gospel, training Pastors and leaders through the teaching of the Word and translating the Bible by the grace of God. Thank you so much for your endeavor to serve the Lord in such a wonderful way.
Coming in February will be a combined February/March newsletter called the “2023 Donor Impact Report,” which will give you a colorful visual understanding of all Vine Church and Vine Ministry have been involved in last year. Thank you for your continued gracious support of the ministry in Haiti.
Blessings,
Greg
