JANUARY 2021
2020 was certainly a year of sacrifices.
So many of you, whether you are a nurse, doctor, first responder, teacher, parent, or grandparent, have given so much of yourselves over this past year. If you or someone you know has lost a loved one because of the corona virus or otherwise, we grieve with you and extend our condolences. Loss of family time together has also taken its toll on our lives. We greatly missed the gathering of our children and grandchildren over the holidays.
“Although the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
yet, I will rejoice in the Lord.
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The sovereign Lord is my strength;
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
He enables me to tread on the heights.” Habakkuk 3:17-19
We personally have not experienced quite the devastation that the prophet was describing but this verse reminds us that whatever loss we are experiencing, God is our strength and with joy and thanksgiving we will not just be OK but will tread on new heights.
That is our hope for Haiti in 2021.
There will be more children than ever being able to go to school, the streets of Haiti will be safe, Vine church will see a surge of people coming to know the Lord, the Clinic will serve more people than ever, who will become healthier in the process. Creative business solutions will abound to enhance the Haitian economy creating jobs and better jobs for more people. God will be glorified, and His Kingdom will be established.
Thank you for your sacrificial giving this year.
Your service in serving others is part of God’s will on the earth.
