The Vine Ministry, Inc.
Poverty, hunger, violence, and illiteracy are present in Haiti, but they do not define the Haitian people. Haiti is a place of Hope. Our mission is to partner with Haitians to enhance their spiritual, educational, and physical well-being.
Faith ~ Education ~ Health
Executive Director - Rev. Greg Golden
Over my 46 years of pastoral ministry, my relationship with LeRoy and Evelyn and my travel to Haiti have impacted my life. I never imagined after my first mission trip, I would end up leading Vine Ministry over 20 years later. My involvement has given me the opportunity to serve in mission, preach in Haiti, learn about Haitian culture, and experience the God of Hope at work. I have enjoyed knowing and collaborating with Pastor Joel and Pastor Daniel, two men of God whom I admire and respect. They have been a blessing in my life. I am committed to the continued mission work of Vine Ministry using the values LeRoy and Evelyn began with and expanding the ministry in line with their work. Thank you for your continued faithful prayers and dedicated support of The Vine Ministry, Inc. I reside in Indiana, PA with Bonnie, my loving spouse and partner in ministry. We are proud of our three children and three grandchildren. God has blessed us so richly over our ministry and our life.

History
Rev LeRoy and Evelyn Dick served in the Church of the Brethren for 26 years prior to answering the call to move to Haiti in September 1981. They went with a 3-fold mission: 1) to plant and a nourish a New Testament Church through home meetings; 2) to develop an agricultural program of roof-top gardens; and 3) to offer a Bible based literacy program to area churches. They initially served as Literacy Coordinators for Christian World Outreach, establishing Hope Academy to train Bible Students. In September of 1989 Pastor LeRoy and Evelyn along with Pastor Joel & Madame Marie Saint Amour began Eglise Evangelique Baptiste de la Vigne – The Vine Evangelical Baptist Church - meeting under a grove of banana trees with 12 people. In 2004, after some years in a storefront building they purchased land to build the present church. The new church was dedicated in 2011 and is led by Associate Pastor Daniel and Anne Telfort. LeRoy went home to be with the Lord in 2005. Evelyn remains active in guiding the ministry.
Prayer
We invite you to be a prayer warrior for Haiti. The most recent years have seen spikes in inflation, shortages, gender-based violence, food insecurity, gang activity, economic chaos, and internal displacement. These issues need our prayers: that the Haitians may cope, hold strong, trust the Lord, and make the changes necessary to move forward as a nation. Our vision is to see every Haitian – a follower of Jesus!! That’s the bottom line, that’s our prayer. Thank you for joining us in prayer.
The Vine Ministry, Inc. offers continued support to the mission work in Haiti because of General Fund giving. The General Fund provides the leadership, resources and mechanisms needed to get ministry donations safely to Haiti, provide support for Pastor Daniel and family through salary, special needs care and ministry expenses. The General Fund also makes possible the newsletter, website, accounting, insurance and other needs.
