Satellite Churches

The Vine EB Church in Port-au-Prince has a relationship with six other congregations in the rural countryside of Haiti. The Vine Church represents these churches before the Haitian government. Each Church body must be registered with the government, and Vine Church does that for these congregations. Vine Church also provides leadership and training. The Churches have a shared doctrine and vision; pastoral support and mentorship; and fellowship and collaboration in ministry. There is a strong relational and spiritual bond, though each church maintains a level of local responsibility and identity. These six satellite churches worship about 600-900 souls. They are located in the following towns: Charles (West) – Hatty (Central) – Lapila (North) – Grand-Goave (West) – Ouanaminthe (Northeast) – Mirebalais (Central)

Satellite Church Programs

Pastoral Training – This program brings together Pastors, Deacons, and leaders from the rural churches for a 5-day period of fellowship, prayer, training, support and Bible and ministry study. The cost for this event is $7,500. The funds assist with travel, food, housing, and leadership needs for about 100 leaders. Scheduling is always subject to security concerns, but we pray and know this will be a blessing for all those involved.    

Solar Power Project – This project will provide the Satellite Church Pastors with a portable power station powered by solar panels. Sunshine is plentiful and free in Haiti. These tools will help the pastors to charge their cells phone, run their laptop for sermon and Bible study preparation, provide light at night for working, allow their kids to do their lessons and host Bible study and prayer meetings. But the system also benefits the church for use at evening services, This is a critical need for these hard-working local pastors in rural Haiti. The cost for this program is $7,000. 

Motorcycles for Pastors – A few of the Pastors walk several miles to lead their congregation. A great benefit to them would be the availability of a motorcycle. Motorcycles are in abundance in Haiti and are fuel efficient. Reliable transportation allows the Pastor to visit their members, do outreach around their community and arrive for Sunday service in a timely and un-exhausted manner. We are supplying four motorcycles at a cost of $12,000. ($3,000 each) These high quality, rugged vehicles are designed to last longer and wear better on the harsh road conditions in Haiti.
